Dan Wallis has over 30 years of experience developing solutions to complex business problems in variety of industries. A dynamic leader, Dan is experienced with helping teams develop solutions aligned with organizational goals. While he has spent over half of his career in healthcare call centers, he has also held consulting or professional roles in the technology, finance, entertainment, not-for-profit, and philanthropic industries. Dan has drawn on this wide range of experience to hone expertise in strategy development and execution, successful project delivery, and business process improvement. Most recently, Dan was Vice President of Contact Center Shared Services for VNS Health (www.vnshealth.org), where he led a transformation of the contact center landscape and ensured a new focus on Customer Experience. Prior to VNS Health, Dan led the nurse triage call centers of KP OnCall for Kaiser Permanente.
Dan holds a Bachelors of Science in Business Information Systems and a Masters in Business Administration. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
A talented and engaging speaker and teacher, Dan has presented at several national conferences and served as Adjunct Faculty in UCSD’s graduate Leadership of Healthcare Organizations program. He is a pioneer in the implementation of virtual call centers and was recognized by the Telework Coalition at the Call Center 2.0 conference for his work in developing a work-at-home program in a union environment. Most recently, he received the Constellation Research SuperNova award for his work on the automation of clinical calls with web self-service. He is a constant and positive force for change, both strategic and tactical, and infuses his enthusiasm and energy into any environment. When not at work, he applies that same passion and energy to playing music and traveling the globe with his wife.
